As part of our ongoing commitment to improving education in Kano, I distributed 73,800 three-seat desks to schools across the 44 local government areas of the state, today.
This is part of our determined effort to implement components of the State of Emergency on Education and improve the education sector, as well as to instill confidence and hope in the hearts of our students.
The Kano State Government under our leadership is deeply committed to ensuring that every child in Kano has the opportunity to learn in a conducive atmosphere that allows them to focus, dream and grow, as promised during the 2023 election campaign.
Using the opportunity, I called on all community stakeholders to join hands in ensuring that the desks are well-maintained and that the renovated schools are treated as centers of excellence.
I also expressed appreciation for the efforts of over 11,000 young carpenters, welders and other artisans who played a significant role in the school transformation project.
Our administration remains committed to the continued provision of essential equipments and facilities necessary for the smooth teaching and learning process in all public schools across the state. – Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on his Facebook Page
